Emily has really been enjoying our nice weather and wants to make up for all of her lost time this summer when it was too hot. One evening she got ready to go exploring right before it got too dark. Her bags were full of usefull explorer stuff like her Mickey Mouse binoculars and Dora camera. If you ask me, she was well prepared!
This summer Emily has really wanted to learn how to ride her bicycle. Unfortunately, we have been extremely busy and it has been extremely hot! Can you say over 60 days of 100+ temperatures? Last weekend, our temperature dropped to the 80's and it has been wonderful! So, on Labor Day I put training wheels on Emily's bicycle and we headed over to the church parking lot so the girls could ride their bikes. Emily has done really well so far and Callie just wants to go fast!
This past weekend we got to spend Sunday afternoon with my parents and sister for Labor Day. After lunch, Theresa and I took off to run some errands while mom and dad took care of the kids. It sure does feel weird to go into a store without having to hold a baby or tell one of the girls that we can't buy everything they see and want. While we were gone, mom and dad took the kids to play outside and they had a blast.
